Between 2016 and 2020, each episode of Poeziekrant (published by Poëziecentrum vzw) featured a poem by a contemporary poet based on a work by Roger Raveel. This continued a beautiful tradition, because in the past many big names were inspired by Raveel's work (Hugo Claus, Roland Jooris, Rutger Kopland, ...). These poems, together with the accompanying works of art, were bundled in a beautiful edition on the occasion of the great Raveel retrospective in Bozar in Brussels (18/3–21/7).
With poems by Maud Vanhauwaert, Anna Borodikhina, Paul Demets, Annemarie Estor, Lies Van Gasse, Dominique De Groen, Astrid Haerens, Joke van Leeuwen, Arno Van Vlierberghe and Bette Westera, and supplemented by twelve poems written especially for the book by among others Amina Belôrf, Moya De Feyter, Asha Karami, Jens Meijen and Iduna Paalman.

With bright paint and desire. Poets bij Raveel is therefore a unique overview of the work of Roger Raveel and a sample of contemporary Dutch-language poetry.
